Coy ’70,’72M-’80M, Shippensburg, retired from Shippensburg Area Senior High School after 36 years with 24 years as chair of the social studies department. He was the cooperating teacher to 16 SU student teachers. Karen Engle ’71-’75M, Harrisburg, retired in June after 35 years of teaching 6th grade at Central Dauphin School. Laurie Biesecker Grande ’71-’76M, Meadowbrook, retired in June after 35 years as a librarian with 20 years at Round Meadow Elementary and 15 at Upper Moreland Middle School.
Nancy McElwee ’71, North Wales, retired in June after teaching 35 years at Linden Elementary School in Central Bucks School District. Gerald “Jerry” Barrick ’73-’76M, Carlisle, retired in June after teaching 33 years in the Chambersburg Area School District and started his own business selling Wood Doctor outdoor wood furnaces.
James Ellingsworth ’73-’78M, retired as athletic director from Big Spring School District after a 33 year career. Cynthia Novak ’73, Athens, a 3rd grade teacher, retired after 33 years in the Athens Area School District. Michael B. Pinkowicz ’76 married Nancy B. Logan on May 20. They reside in Roslyn. John P. Valori ’78, Lancaster, retired after 27 years of teaching social studies and working in Lancaster high school’s gifted support program. John Morabito ’79, St. Augustine, Fla., is the owner/CEO of an oceanfront condominium cleaning business in St. Augustine after coaching scholastic and collegiate football for 28 years. Dennis J. Reimer ’79M, Arlington, Va., was appoint-ed to the board of directors for SI International Inc., an IT and network solutions company. |
