Seeing Progress

To anyone driving around campus, it is evident improvements are on-going. In addition to infrastructure repairs, maintenance and upgrades, work is progressing on a number of other campus projects.

Henderson Gym is being renovated to welcome the Exercise Science Department back to campus. They have been located at the SU Foundation Conference Center.

Old Main is getting closer to its former glory as porches, columns and other details are added to the façade. The recapping of the building is scheduled for October.

The Student Recreation Center is taking shape after months of looking like nothing more than steel beams and concrete.

With the beginning of the fall semester, students and faculty have two new places to meet. The full-service Starbucks opened in mid-August at its Erza Lehman Library location. The CUB now offers Chick-fil-A in addition to Quiznos.

Dauphin Humanities Center is well into its deserved upgrade. It is on schedule to be ready for use next fall.

Steelwork for the Dauphin addition is in place and the student rec center now resembles a building. Above, two new restaurants opened on campus—Chick-fil-A is at home in the CUB, and Starbucks can’t be missed in the library. Below, Old Main’s new porches are almost finished.
