There was a new food booth at this year’s Corn Festival as Ship athletes and coaches manned the SU Athletics Department Roasted Sweet Corn Stand. Besides grilled corn, “tater pigs,” a secret recipe Athletic Director Roberta Page discovered, were on the menu. The money raised was donated to the university and will be used for athletic scholarships. The nice weather brought out thousands of people who enjoyed the festival.
