William “Ben” Walker ’57 and wife Pat, Hellam, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 25.

Margaret Love Slaven ’58, Demarest, N.J., published her first novel, Lizzie at Last.

Dr. Richard Bauer ’61, Spring City, executive director of the PA School District Liquid Asset Fund he created, received the golden achievement award by the PA Association of School Business Officials at the 50th anniversary and conference.

William Minsker ’68-’73M, Linglestown, was granted title of assistant professor at the National University of Economics, in Wroclaw, Poland.

Stephen Scull ’70, New York, N.Y., took an early retirement after 17 years of teaching German at Mt. Pleasant Area High School and moved to New York City, where he does voice overs in German and has appeared in various theatrical productions.

John K. Smith ’70-’77M, Enola, retired in June after 35 years of teaching, 27 at Shippensburg School District and 8 at Cumberland Valley Middle School.

Cheryl Hogle Adams ’70-’73M, Amelia, Va., named in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers 2004-2005 edition.

Lt.Col. Ret. Dennis McCoola ’77, Aiea, Hawaii, retired from the U.S. Army Reserve after 27 years of service and is now specializing in retirement and employee benefit planning for small- to medium-sized businesses in his insurance and investment practice. He also teaches a management course at Hawaii Pacific University.

Sonia Haynes ’79, Frederick, Md., has an abstract on SIDS selected for a poster presentation during the American Public Health Association national conference, New Orleans, LA. in November.

Myla Easter Uppercue ’79M, Tampa, Fla., is guidance department head at Chamberlain High School in Tampa.
