The last Saturday in August has featured the Corn Festival for 25 years. Each year King Street is closed to traffic from Prince to Morris Streets as crafts, music, and food are prominently featured. Crowds numbering in the tens of thousands have faced just about every combination of summer weather over the years. This year the weather was less than perfect with some rain. With its overwhelming success, expect the Corn Festival to be a Shippensburg tradition for another 25 years. Photo appears courtesy of the Shippensburg News Chronicle.
