A federal transportation bill allocated $250,000 for the university’s realignment of roads including campus roads and extending Fogelsonger Road past the new H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center and ultimately connecting it with PA 696 (Earl Street Extended).

Commenting on the funds, Interim President Jody Harpster thanked the lawmakers who made it possible and pointed out, “This is an example of the university and various community groups, including municipal and business leaders, working together for the benefit of the region.”

It is anticipated the new configuration will make visits to campus easier for thousands each year by providing better access both to and around campus.
