Lynne Nash, professor emeritus of communication/journalism, who retired as department chair in 2000, has joined the Peace Corps as an educational volunteer. “Retirement doesn’t mean just hanging out,” Lynne said. “Never one to be happy with the status quo, I looked for new and challenging horizons and heard the call of the Peace Corps. I see this as an opportunity to use my teaching skills once again.” Lynne will begin her two years of service after living for three months with a host family.
Elaine Anderson, professor emeritus of biology, had her novel, Dragonfly, published earlier this year and reports the sequel, Chameleon, is slotted for a 2008 release. The paperback joins her previous work, The Single Person’s Guide to Buying a Home (1993).
