Computer models, chemical reactions, logistics, art, diseases, judicial review, bank scandals, exercise, movie scripts, and medieval launching devices are just a few of the topics found at this year’s student research fair. In early April, students presented their poster displays to interested members of the campus community. While the various projects had little in common with each other in terms of subject matter, students all benefited from the learning experiences outside the classroom. Many of the projects were presented at national and international conferences in the particular field of study. Students can receive funds to help defray the expense of their research and for travel to conferences through the university’s undergraduate research program.

Sara Maclay demonstrated some of what she learned about landscapes at the research fair while Amber Noecker, Matthew Pollart, and Nicole Tucker represented the project on medieval launching devices.
