Sea voyage lands on Great Wall Al Calarco ’80m, currently living and working in Brussels, Belgium, was a participant on the spring voyage of the Semester at Sea on the MV Explorer as director of student life. In the dining hall one day, he noticed Brittany Martin wearing a Ship t-shirt. They are pictured here at the Great Wall of China. The Semester at Sea is celebrating 45 years of coupling service learning and an academic environment while circumnavigating the world. Al and Brittany visited 13 countries, helped build two homes in South Africa, and traveled 30,616 miles.
