It was the first year SU’s Investment management Program (IMP) participated in the Redefining Investment Strategy Education (RISE) symposium’s portfolio competition and walked away with fourth place for the undergraduate group with a growth management style.

This was the third year the IMP students attended the RISE symposium where faculty, students, and investment experts discuss a range of pertinent issues facing investment professionals. Previous IMP students used information acquired at RISE to make improvements to the operation of the portfolio including using a better benchmark to assess their progress.

Each year the finance faculty selects about 15 students to manage the IMP portfolio. This year the students increased the portfolio’s value by more than 23 percent.
