Alumni high on list
The fourteen Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Universities raised more than $41 million in 2005-06. Exceeding the national average by more than one-third, alumni contributed at a rate of 12 percent. The majority of gifts were designated for specific uses including student scholarships and to help fund campus construction and renovation projects. As noted by PASSHE Chancellor Judy Hample, “Every dollar received in private support enables our universities to create additional learning opportunities for our students.”
Other donor groups include corporations, other individuals and organizations, and foundations.
