Calling all alumni employers

Did you know Shippensburg University provides free ways for you to find talented recent college graduates and more experienced professionals to fill job openings at your workplace? Approximately 75 percent of job openings are filled through referrals. So why not use the connections you have with SU to find quality employees?

There are two ways you can promote your job openings at the university. The Center for Career Development can connect you with graduating seniors or recent graduates through their on-campus recruitment program or their résumé referral service. Both are excellent opportunities to find qualified candidates for your entry-level positions.

The University Relations Office can assist you in finding more experienced professionals through the Alumni Career and Employment Services (A.C.E.S.) program. Advertising your positions will reach hundreds of SU alumni. Can you think of a better referral service?

If your employer offers internships, SU can help. Nationally, more than 83 percent of college graduates have completed at least one internship. The competition for internships is fierce. If you are able to provide a SU student with an internship opportunity we can help put you in touch with the appropriate faculty members.

For more information on contacting the Center for Career Development or the A.C.E.S. program, contact Lorie Davis in the University Relations office at 717-477-1218 or alumni@ship.edu.
