Virgil L. Beaston ’91, Arlington, Va., director at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox helps clients bring new products to market and obtains patent protection for inventions in a variety of technical fields.

John C. Kilgannon ’91, Collings-wood, N.J., was named shareholder with Stevens & Lee Lawyers & Consultants, where he is involved with bankruptcy proceedings, commercial litigation, and creditors’ rights actions.

Susan Buchanan McKim ’91 and husband Jay ’92, York, son Samuel Jack born January 4th. He joins brothers Matthew 12 and Michael 9.

Thomas Starkoski ’91, Frederick, Md., a major in the U.S. Army received the Bronze Star Medal for courage under fire while embedded with an Afghan Army infantry battalion during Operation Enduring Freedom. He worked with regional Afghan governments to prepare for parliamentary elections and restructuring local security forces in addition to working with provincial reconstruction teams. He is the project manager for the National Interagency BioDefense campus being constructed at Fort Detrick, Md.

Sonja Harclerode Cline ’92, Frederick, Md., was promoted to director of operations – Rapid Testing Systems (RTS) for Lonza Walkersville, Inc., earned Black Belt in Six Sigma from Smarter Solutions, Austin, Texas, and named Lean Six Sigma Council Chair for Lonza Walkerville, Inc. in October 2007.

Tracy Pierandozzi Sestili ’92, San Francisco, Calif., received the American Institute for Public Service’s Jefferson Award for Community Public Service for her work and advocacy in lung cancer.

Amaris Michael ’93, Wrightsville, earned her Certified in Production and Inventory Management rating from the Association for Operations Management in November 2007.

Wayne E. Motts ’94m, Orrtanna, was appointed to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Federation of Museums and Historical Organizations (PFMHO) as the representative for the Alliance of Pennsylvania County Historical Societies (APACHS).

David S. Nickey ’94, Downingtown, was promoted to sales manager for Jobcircle.com headquartered in West Chester, where he oversees the career fair business unit.

Karl Sprenger ’94, Indiana, was awarded the 2008 Paul W. Welliver Outstanding Graduate Student Award by the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications & Technology. He is working on a doctorate in instructional systems at Penn State.

Tara Nader Wood ’94 and husband Scott, Altoona, daughter Kara Condrin born Dec. 13, 2007. She joins brother Alex 5 and sister Lauren 3.

Col. Teresa Gallagher ’97m (below), Fayetteville, took the colors of the 28th Combat Aviation Brigade during a change of command ceremony at Ft. Indiantown Gap. The 28th CAB has received an alert order and could be mobilized in 2008 making it likely that she will command the 2,000 soldier unit in combat.
