Proteus Lecture Series, Chancellor Robert Khayat, April 9, 7:30 pm, Old Main Chapel. Former Washington Redskin, now chancellor of the University of Mississippi, Robert Khayat has learned many lessons through his career. Relating some of his best lessons and the circumstances surrounding them, Khayat shows how these skills can be applied to leadership roles, especially in the field of higher education. Golden Dragon Acrobats, presented by APB Cultural Arts Committee, April 8, 8 pm, Luhrs Center, $25, 20, and 15. The Golden Dragons are recognized as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company. Paul Taylor Dance Company, co-presented by APB Cultural Arts Committee, April 22, 8 pm, Luhrs Center, $29, 25, 22, and 18. Paul Taylor first presented his choreography on May 30, 1954 in Manhattan. That modest performance marked the beginning of a half-century of unrivaled creativity. His choreography, once deemed experimental, avant-garde, and even “painful,” quickly became the gold standard of modern dance.
