As is the tradition with our Winter Commencement, the ceremonies include welcoming the latest recipients of the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award given to alumni under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions in their fields. Pictured clockwise from top, Jodi Christman ’92, Tracy Pierandozzi Sestili ’92, Rebecca Quinter Finkenbinder ’97, and James L. Dailey ’97. Jodi Christman ’92 It is fitting Jodi is recognized by her alma mater as she was named as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2009 40 Under 40 award recipients. A partner and the vice president for interactive and design at JPL started as an intern in video production in 1992. After a brief detour to Rite Aid, Jodi returned to JPL in 1994 serving as a video producer, multimedia project manager, and multimedia department manager until she was promoted to vice president in 2005. Her record of contributions to the company is complimented by commitments to her community through Relay for Life and Big Brothers Big Sisters Capital Region. Jodi has been a key element in their fundraising efforts creating events like Destination Downtown, a dining experience, and a comedy show. Jodi received her bachelor of arts degree in communication/journalism in 1992. James L. Dailey ’97 After a short stint with Fulton Bank, James found his niche at TEAM Financial Managers in Harrisburg. He joined the company in 1999 as a financial advisor and quickly moved to portfolio manager in 2001. In 2005 he was named co-owner and chief investment officer where he is actively involved in the daily management and strategic planning of the firm and is responsible for the overall investment philosophy, portfolio management, and research and trading for client investment accounts. He earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2003. He is a member of the John L. Grove College of Business Advisory Board, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region board, and volunteers as a Big Brother. He earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree in 1997. James is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Rebecca Quinter Finkenbinder ’97 In 2008, Rebecca was named a Rising Star by Law and Politics. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state receive this honor that is published in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition magazine. Rebecca is an associate with McNees Wallace & Nurick, LLC and practices in the Intellectual Property and Food Industry Practice groups. She focuses on trademark and copyright law and extends into franchise matters and advertising. She is a member of Woman of Wardrobe, Dress for Success of South Central Pennsylvania, Women in the Profession committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and serves on the board of Sales & Marketing Executives International Central Pennsylvania Chapter. Rebecca earned her bachelor of science in business administration degree in 1997 before earning her MBA from Temple and her law degree from Dickinson School of Law. She is married to Travis Finkenbinder ’97. They own Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Palmyra. Tracy Pierandozzi Sestili ’92 As if being the director of operations for TiVo, Inc., wasn’t enough, Tracy is the CEO and founder of The Beverly Funda nonprofit national organization devoted to raising awareness on the risks and causes of lung cancer, patient services, and research geared toward early detection. The Beverly Fund was established to honor Tracy’s mother Beverly, who died from lung cancer just five weeks before Tracy’s wedding in 2006. Tracy has been recognized for her efforts earning the AT&T Spotlight Community Hero Award (2007), the Bay Area Jefferson Award for Community Service (2008), and her story was published on Oprah’s Angel Network. Tracy earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science in 1992. |
