Changing Scenes
It was strange driving onto campus through the summer months and seeing Old Main without its cupola and fencing cutting off the front of the building. All that changed in October when the cupola was raised back into place, the fencing came down, and the front of Old Main was once again picturesque.

One, two, three, lift! Once in place the new cupola restored the familiar silhouette to Old Main.
Dauphin Humanities Center from the front looks unchanged from the summer but on the side facing the library, the new addition took shape.
The student rec center is finally looking more and more like a functional building as the exterior shapes up and interior work begins. The project is on schedule to be completed early in the spring semester.
Reisner renovations are also underway. The facility will be serving meals while the updates are taking place, rotating between the dining rooms. A major move is the relocation of the faculty/staff dining room to the Century Café in Old Main. In addition to reconfiguring the cooking areas, two additions, totaling additional 14,600 square feet will be added.
Construction will be a topic of conversation for a while as the master plan includes replacing residence halls and the students recently approved a major addition to the Ceddia Union Building.

As it nears its grand opening, scheduled for mid-February, the student rec center is starting to look more functional inside and out.
