Making people aware of the rate of domestic violence is often harder than it looks. Thanks to programs and events sponsored by the Women’s Center, SU students have been exposed to the harsh facts.
“Visions of Violence” was an art display of pieces created by women and children who were victims of domestic violence. Bulbs were added to the garden between Harley and Lackhove Halls in remembrance of the 105 Pennsylvanians lost in 2004. And once again the Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties displayed their Silent Witness project that signifies those lost to violence in the community.
